An Important Message

For many years, our annual Battle of the Bands has been a cherished tradition, bringing together talented local blues musicians and providing an opportunity to celebrate the music we all love.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event. While we are disappointed to take this brief pause, we want to assure everyone that this is a one-time interruption, not the end of a great tradition.

We look forward to bringing the Battle of the Bands back in 2027 and continuing the excitement, camaraderie, and celebration of blues music that have made this event such a special part of our Blues Society. As a result of this year’s cancellation, we will not be sending a winning band to the next International Blues Challenge in Memphis. However, we fully intend to resume that tradition as well, with plans to send a deserving act to Memphis the following year.

Thank you to our members, musicians, sponsors, and supporters for your continued enthusiasm and commitment to keeping the blues alive. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events and to making the 2027 Battle of the Bands another memorable occasion!

Blues Lovers and SCV Blues Society Members,

The SCV Blues Society jams are every 2nd Sunday of the month at Club 507 at the Newhall American Legion Hall

Our typical format includes having the stage graced by jammers from start to finish, although host bands are sometimes present.

Please, let your blues musician friends know to come early.  Come on down for the music, the dancing, seeing your friends, and as usual, a great time!

Membership applications are available here online, or at the door.
