Non-Blues Society Music and Dance Events at Club 507
Club 507 at the Newhall American Legion Post has been the home of the Santa Clarita Valley Blues Society for several years, and we are proud to help promote the great music and dance events that they host.
Check out the list below of the of upcoming events at CLUB 507. You’ll see they are only getting the best bands and musicians that you want to dance to! Included are complementary dance lesson at 4:15 before each band, with instructors who will help you know exactly what you need to know to dance to the band that evening!
So many wonderful bands have been on the CLUB 507 stage these past 16 months — and they all ask for a date to come back. The bands love the sound, the lighting, the dancers! Louisiana Rockin’ Blues (perfect shuffle tempos for Lindy Hoppers!): We’ve got Drummer, Jerry McWorter serving up spicy Lou’siana Blues mixed with swampy Rock n’ Roll for this SWINGIN’ (SOULFUL) SUNDAY at CLUB 507. We requested Jerry bring his band back for our dancers’ fun!
In Louisiana parlance, a “roux” is a base sauce made of spices, flour and butter. These musicians serve up a tangy smorgasbord of straight blues to rockabilly with a generous side of swampy Cajun flavors mixed in their rock ‘n roll. We hope you’ll give this great group of musicians an opportunity at CLUB 507!
We’ll have a dance class at 4:15 to get you ready to dance to these cool cats!

LADD McINTOSH BIG BAND ORCHESTRA
Perfect for lovers of Big Band Jazz! Ladd McIntosh is bringing his BIG BAND back to CLUB 507 for a second time with the BIG BAND SUMMER CONCERT SERIES — a set of summer concert events honoring his decades of music — and his many personal arrangements — just for our community of lovers of big band jazz music! You’ll be amazed at the incredble musicians making up this decades’ old, authentic big band!
This Band’s performance on Wednesday, July 10th, was mesmerizing. The local paper, The Signal, came out to interview Ladd, and the members of Club 507 for a special in their online paper. Look for that soon!
That performance was stunning, the room was silently witnessing something very special, while cameras and videos were flying about the room recording each moment.
